About Choppers24

One marketplace for the Baltics: Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

Why we exist

Managing rental property across Estonia meant crossing borders constantly for Niall: a contractor booked through one site, a buyer reached through another, a listing that only worked in a single country at a time. The pattern was always the same. The Baltic classifieds market was not one market at all, it was a different platform for practically every country, and often a different one for every category too.

Choppers24 exists to close that gap. One marketplace, three countries, covering cars, car parts, real estate, everyday products, jobs and professional services. That last one matters more than it sounds: finding a tradesperson should not mean a different search every time you cross a border, and it does not here.

Built as one platform from day one

The decision to run every country and category under a single domain was not an afterthought bolted on later. It was the starting point. Cars came first, then car parts, real estate, products, professional services and jobs followed as the platform grew. The categories expanded. The one platform decision underneath them never did.

That is the clearest way to explain what is actually different here, and it is structural rather than promotional. Elsewhere in the region, going Baltic wide across categories usually means separate accounts, separate listings and separate logins for every country. Choppers24 collapses all of that into one login, one listing, one search.

Who is behind it

Choppers24 is led by Niall, an Irish entrepreneur and an early shareholder in DoneDeal.ie, Ireland's largest classifieds marketplace. He has been based in Estonia for years, where he also owns a portfolio of rental properties, so the fragmented cross border Baltic marketplace problem is not something he read about. He lived it, as a landlord, long before he started building a platform to fix it.

Work on the site itself began in 2025.

Why Chopper gave the platform its name

Every logo needs an origin story, and this one belongs to a dog. Chopper was a Laika, rescued from a shelter, who turned out to have a fiercely protective streak underneath the good nature. He and his owner became inseparable, and that protectiveness paid off more than once. Twice, Chopper saw off an attack at his owner's workplace. On one of those occasions, he drove off three bears, alone.

Chopper has since passed, but his name and his protective streak live on: literally, in the platform's logo, and less literally, in a marketplace built around looking out for the people using it.

What the team is proudest of

Two things get pointed to most often internally. The first is the site's own interface, built to feel like a modern marketplace rather than a classifieds board carried over from a decade ago. The second is the video content behind Choppers24's marketing, produced with AI tools from the ground up, an early bet on where content production is heading, not just a shortcut to save on a video crew.

What Choppers24 stands for

The mission is simple to state and harder to actually do: make the digital marketplace in the Baltics transparent, user friendly and future oriented. Three words carry that mission day to day, Transparent, Trustworthy, Connected, and they are the test any new feature, category or partnership gets measured against before it ships.
